Ra Haka Day

 On Ra Haka day, I felt only a little bit nervous. The haka is like a pepeha of Otaki that was made by matua Te Tahi. Only because my friends were going to do the haka as well. I was a bit worried about my house group though because not everyone knew the actions or words to the haka. My group was first but when I got up I felt good and proud of myself. I really liked Ra Haka day in the end.

 Job Search

The job that I would be very interested in would be Professional Basketball. I love to play basketball and it would be so fun to have it as my job.

 Professional basketball players can get a lot of money depending on what league they play for. The NBA is probably the greatest basketball leagues of all time, they had all the greatest players of all time and they probably have the most money. 

I want to play for the NBL then play in the NBA. My favourite player is Ja Morant because of how athletic and fast he is. He's only a point guard but he can still dunk. Basketball would be the most fun job for me.

 My personal goals: Respect & Basketball

Respect

My goal around respect is about looking, listening and understanding what a teacher or visitor is telling me or the whole class. I want to work on this because I feel like I'm being a bit slack for not doing these during class. I'm determined to stay focused during class now and being aware of what they are saying.

Basketball

My goal about my basketball is mainly about getting past my opponent, defence, winning games and getting better at my shooting. I'm having a bit of trouble getting past my opponent because I'm too easy to read. They always get the ball in the end and it bugs me a bit. Then when they come up to me they always get past because of my slack defence.

I have my first basketball game in a week and I can't wait to play my first game for O.C. I'm also quite nervous because I'm not sure how good the opposition is. They might be worse than me or they could be so much greater. That is why I want to work on my shooting. It might give my team a better chance of winning the game.
